…in Sartell, Minnesota, has partnered by providing partial sponsorships towards two of the ANA students.  The preschoolers pray for these students and have conversations about the needs of the children in school at A New Arrival in Port au Prince.  There is a community awareness that has started within a small preschool classroom that is reaching out through families and friends of these 3 and 4 year old children.

 Hancock-Hamline University Collaborative Magnet…

…in St. Paul, Minnesota has a 6th grade classroom that has been partnering with PIE, through their annual fundraising/awareness event. The students study about people that make a difference in the world, reading Taste of Salt: A Story of Modern Haiti by Frances Temple. Their focus has been to study the country of Haiti and raise funds to support the school program at A New Arrival. Students raise nearly $500 annually by making notecards, bookmarks and bracelets to sell, as well as selling raffle tickets towards gift baskets. The class also participated in bagging food for over 12,000 meals at Feed My Starving Children.  In doing so, they have discovered that they can make a difference through their acts of service. Money raised supports PIE, Feed My Starving Children and The Listening House.
